Overview
The Mirror Wall won the design competition for Statnett’s (Norway) first sculpture power pylon.
The aim was to place the pylon at Heia in Tromso as part of Statnett’s planned 420 kV line between Lofoten and Balsfjord.
The sculpture pylon is 34.5 metres high and 32.5 metres wide and reflects the beautiful landscape at Heia, Norway.
Reflecting the environment
The structure of the Mirror Wall is simple steel lattice framework that is covered with either panels of mirror polished stainless steel (with hidden fittings) or glass which reflects of the landscape. The Mirror Wall is an innovative and exciting proposition that both integrates into the landscape and stands out.
